Winter has arrived on the Creek

November 19th, 2015 by Kristi Spoon

1st snow of winter Nov 2015I’ve been told that the first day of winter, also known as the Winter Solstice, is not until December 22 this year.  I guess Mother Nature has her own ideas!

The seasons definitely show their colors at Twisted Fork at Rock Creek.  The Indian Summer held warm days with cool nights, leading us into an incredible Autumn filled with brilliant colors, cattle coming out of the forest and the bugle of the elusive elk.  When winter arrives she usually comes with snow and cold and usually hangs around until sometime in April; not warming until the last calf has arrived.

But truly, time flies and it really won’t be long before the last of the snow melts off.  That’s when the creek air is pure, the grasses explode and the fish are hungry!  Don’t wait to book your 2016 vacation.  Plan now while there is good availability.

Come share the seasons with us here at the top of Rock Creek!
